Portrait for jerry #2

Part of a discontinued series of portraits of Jerry's daughter, originally intended to continue for 18 years, with a portrait for each birthday until she became an adult. The series was discontinued when the COVID pandemic hit, as private priorities became more important than continuing it.

The painting marked a turning point in my practice. I struggled to find a composition; working from reference material challenged the composition and narrative.
